There is possibly going to be a talent show after the Christmas Play tonight. If so, our kids will be performing "Three Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed" together.
I just heard the Son & Sissy practicing it over lunch. And all of a sudden I hear Sissy with a new version:
Three little donuts jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head.
The kid called the fry and the fry said -
"No more donuts jumping on the bed!"
I was so amused! :-)
Also, we have taught this version to our kids, and I really like it way better - plus it's more accurate. :-)

One fell of and bumped his head.
Mama called Daddy, and Daddy said -
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"
They love to say the last line in a "deep" voice, and shaking their finger. It's so cute!

ReplyDeleteThe announcer was saying things to make people laugh. When he announced the kids, he said "Son is going to dance, and the girls are going to sing." Son believed he meant it, and wouldn't perform. At the time we thought it was stage fright, but he explained later. :-) Sissy did it all with a big grin and sparkling eyes. Everyone loved it. Honey joined in at the last. :-)
